Hi;

Just a few things I have been thinking about - maybe to go on the wish list...

1. Credit Notes. Is it possible to add the ability to record a credit note to a customer? Occasionally we get customers canceling, but rather than requesting a refund they prefer to keep their deposit with us for future use. It would be great to be able to record this in TourCMS and then apply to a new booking at a later date.

This would work really well once we can merge duplicate customer records.

2. Availability Management by Rate. Not sure if this one would be useful for others, but being able to indicate that we have X places available at Rate A and Y places available at Rate B - and also block the different rates individually would be of benefit to us.

3. Emails to enquirers - we are using TourCMS for enquiries and thought it would good to be able to reply and record within the system before we actually have a booking. Maybe adding advanced note to customer record or enquiry record?

1) Credit notes - good idea!

2) Availability control by rate is possible using hotel product type - so you can have 4 "rooms" of one rate and 5 "rooms" of another. Not quite sure that is what you actually want, depends what problem you are trying to fix, but I mention it anyway

3) We have a number of suggestions regarding improving how you can communicate / CRM style functionality - both for initial enquiries and also for existing customers. Please do come and add your feedback on this thread so we have it all in one place

Hi Alex;

I've been using tour rather than hotel type - so I may need to think about re-arranging how I've set up! Not sure if that will be suitable as the current setup is working well for other reasons. We sell motorcycle tours and customers can book either as a rider or as a pillion/support vehicle passenger; there are 8 places available on the bikes, however we only have 4 spaces in the support vehicle - what I'd like to do is manage these separately for two reasons:

1. Sometimes we have the spaces in the support vehicle fully booked, but still have availability on the bikes. I'd like to be able to block bookings via the web booking engine on the support vehicle rate only.
2. I'm not actually sure if this is doable, but we have been thinking of updating our website and using the Marketplace functionality to load availability information (we currently do this manually), however we only want to include information on the number of places available on the bike.

I will add some thoughts to the marketing thread.

We can put the availability information information into your site without using Marketplace functionality. We can use the normal website CMS system.

My best advice, before you do anything, is get us in the loop via the helpdesk - we can then get you pointed in the right direction!
