For users of the TourCMS tour operator ecommerce platform
Hi,
We still using our website together with TourCMS and for each hotel there is a fixed table with prices for all the season, 2012 for instance. Colors indicates high, middle or low seasons. It currently works with Mysql/Php requests. It means that each year we enter prices in a database.
It could seem an old-fashionable way to display the prices, but I know that many people like this way to with at a glance an idea of the rates of the hotel. Have both displays (search engine and fixed table) bring plus-value to my site.
I,m asking myself, why do this job two times, one for my website and one inside TourCMS ?
So, I could entered prices once in TourCMS and then find a way to include them in a nice table in my website.
Is there a current way to have this done (for someone as me with limited capacity in html & php )?
Thanks
Lionel

Do you have a link to the table in question that you could share?

I ask again my previous question :
Is there a way to produce a fixed table of prices for each hotel inside TourCMS ?
I know that it's old-fashion at the time of yield management, but sometimes old traditions are nice too :)
Thanks for your answer

I think currently there's no easy way to generate that exact table.
What we do have is a "Dates and deals" API which a developer can use to build a table like that however it would only feature prices for 1 or 2 people and not 4 or 5 as you have there.

Thanks for the answer.
I don't think it is presently useful for me, since I'm not a professional developer and many rooms are apartments for families.
Anyway, I will loss many hours inserting prices twice (and each year !), so I would study any solution, even paying for that.
Would it be possible to "rent" a developper to work on an API like this (untli let's say 6 people max) ?
And if yes, how can I have a quotation ?
I'm not sure because I never used an API, but it seems that eveything could be done on tourCMS and I would only have to put an iframe on my site ?
Thanks

Do I have to contact the support to know more about specific development as written above ?
Thanks a lot,

This is on my list to look at between Christmas and New Year.
It is not simple - but hopefully we can come up with something that works!
Best wishes. Alex

Permalink Reply by Alex Bainbridge on Monday Looking back at this, I think the best solution is the dates and deals API approach
