Hi Alex

What's the best way around this?

A youth organization there in Wales is arranging a tour for a group.  I've set this up as a tour. That's simple enough!

My issue is this:  I want them to pay a deposit for the whole group, but the group members are not going to be selected until next year.  The person making the original enquiry and booking is not even travelling with the group.

As this organization is arranging it - I'd like a way to record this in TourCMS.

I have no problem in putting the organization in as the customer and refer to the group as one person.  Then however I have a problem when I want to add the passengers at a later date.

Ideally there would be an option on the new customer page to input a group booking name rather than an individual.  Then take payments for the group as a whole.  Then further down the line link passenger names to this group.

There may be a way to do this - or something similar already. Any suggestions or advice will be gratefully received.

Many thanks
Regards
Aled

Hello Aled,

We have the same situation many times. Sometimes the teacher that organises the tour is not part of the customers in the booking. I believe Alex has put this issue on the to do list.

There is possibility of using an Agent (nontravellingbooker) who can then receive and pay for the invoice.

Thanks for your reply Luit!

An update on this old conversation

If you go to a booking record (with at least 2 customers on) you can now make the lead customer non travelling. That will keep them on the booking but the customer numbers etc reflect that they are not actually on the trip

That solves this fully, I think.Thanks. Alex
