Hi Ann,
I'm not sure quite what you mean here.
Are you selling the flight to the client ? If so, you can add an Option to the booking, calling it 'International Flight' or something, and then Edit the price within the Sales Price tab when it is finalised.
If the client is sourcing the fare, then if they are booking the flight themselves, do you need to show it anywhere in your system ?
If you could give some more info on how you are selling the flights, I'll have a think further how you could do it.
Cheers, Ralph
Thanks for your reply. Yes, we are selling flights as optional part of a package.
You are quite right - I don't need to put any finances into the records for those clients who source their own flights. In this case, I just need to show the flight times so that our agent overseas knows when to meet them at the airport.
However, for those whom we do buy flights, we initially give them an estimated price, but this isn't necessarily finalised until after the first invoice has gone out, so it would be nice to show it as a quote rather than a fixed price. For example, we might be waiting for a trip to get enough bookings before we can secure flights.
Many thanks for trying to help - I'm new to TourCMS and just feeling my way....
Say you have an option called flight. Click on edit next to that option (over on the right) on a booking - on the product tab.
From there you can change the name (give the option a custom name).
So if it was previously called flight (and setup in TourCMS as name of flight) - you could add (Quote) in brackets after the name? Then that would appear on the customer documentation as a quote. You could always remove that name change after you have firmed up the flight details
If you start with the option called Flight (quote) and then remove the quote in brackets when it is firmed up - that means you only have to edit it once...
