For users of the TourCMS tour operator ecommerce platform

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I hope someone can help me.  I'm new to the hotels functionality and I'm struggling to set up properly as some of the terminology is unfamiliar to me.

I'm having a play to see if the hotels functionality will allow me to inventory manage my tours in a different way.

.

Can I set up multi night packages in the hotels area other than a forced stay (min X night stay) but that run off the same core room inventory?

example: We want to have available simultaneously: on a per person basis

Set up 5 rooms with daily availability.  From these 5 rooms, we can market some packages

eg:  a 3 night package that can be check-in any day

a 2 night package that can be check-in any day

a weekend package that must include fri/sat night

a 6 day/5 night package that starts Sunday ends Friday (glamping set up style)

These all feed out of the same 5 rooms so that when 1 package is booked it excludes the sale of the others.

The reason for doing this is that we are starting to sell our lodge rooms as self drive accommodation as well as the accommodation in our tours, and I'm trying to find a way to sell online, see everyting as one snapshot in the booking screen and minimise the risk of double booking.

The hotel side of it makes it easy to set up daily availability, but the tour side of the system suits the packaging component.

Any suggestions from anyone will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dana

Hi Dana

Not so easy right now - but being addressed in the next few months - in the multi tour booking engine
http://community.tourcms.com/forum/topics/tourcms-development-roadmap

i.e. have central inventory that will take off sale any other tours that use the same, shared, component (on the dates it is no longer available)

Thanks Alex
Thanks Alex. We really appreciate the opportunity to be so close to the development that's happening.
Will stay tuned.
Dana
