For users of the TourCMS tour operator ecommerce platform
Hi,
We mainly offer private tours and have a large number of tours on offer (all of which are fully customisable). However, we only have 2 guides. As such when both our guides are booked no other tours are available.
I would like to set it up so the customer can get a quote for a private tour and also ensure that there is availability (each tour is priced slightly differently so was thinking I could use options for this?). The tour could be for one or more days. Is there a way for me to do this that keeps things nice and simple?
Secondly, as most of our bookings are completely bespoke is there a way for me to send a quote to the customer with an option to book that particular tour? I have been playing around and it seems the most logical way would be to create a new tour each time on the tour option although as each tour would only be used once this would seem like a bit of a waste.
Any help would be much appreciate.
Thanks
Gordon

I would create a base tour - as a freesale - and advertise this "standard" itinerary on your website. Then use the TourCMS booking engine (with slightly different wording) at the start of a conversation with a customer. THEN, fiddle with the booking (along with talking with the customer) until you are happy.
THEN send them an email (from TourCMS) - with a payment link in the email. Use phrasing such as "if you like this itinerary please click this link and pay your deposit". TourCMS will charge the card the deposit, money will go into your bank, data will go into TourCMS.
CERTAINLY don't go creating a new tour for each quote you give to a customer!
best wishes
Alex
