As some of you may have noticed we've released an updated design on the main public facing TourCMS website. The public facing site doesn't tend to get much attention from us beyond updating the manuals and adding more support documents and tutorials so it's nice to have a bit of a refresh.

As well as the colour changes and font tweaks there's now a search box to the top of the site. This is powered by Google Custom Search and covers both the main site and this community:

And there are new tooltips to provide extra information when needed to save scrolling further down the page for a detailed explanation:

The web developers among you might be interested to know we've removed a lot of non-semantic tables from the site (hey, it was written in 2003!) which is replaced with proper semantic markup and CSS, this will make future updates much quicker and easier. We're also using the excellent JQuery JavaScript library for some effects like the alternating blue rows on tables, tooltips and the rounded corners on boxes which again helps with maintenance hugely. To anyone who writes any JavaScript at all I can't recommend it highly enough.
There are still a few niggles, mainly whitespace and a few colour issues which will be tweaked as we get time.
If you have any feedback or experience any problems do post back here.
