Here is a quick summary of recent developments and releases:
Product rules
* New freesale rule [F] - for product availability - in particular where you have a gap in the middle of the season (say a Christmas break)
Booking tabs
* Arriving soon tab - showing bookings arriving in the next 14 days
* Today / Tomorrow tab - showing travel products (departures) for next 3 days - including sales breakdown (useful if you are running lots of trips - and need to see, at a glance, what is going on today)
Don't worry if you can't see the new tabs - they are hidden unless there is data in them (which helps keep complexity down on accounts that don't use specific functionality)
Other booking management
* Booking search - can now do 18-24 month search - and a full 2 year availability check. Don't use that if you have a lot of product loaded as it can take a while (never more than 5 seconds though).
* If the tour quantity in a booking isn't equal to the customer quantity (say you have 2 people booked in trips, but 3 people on the booking) - then TourCMS will alert you (within the booking).
* Tweaked the booking search so it searches for cancelled bookings as well as active ones (by default) (this is the booking ID search on the homepage).
* Within a booking, you can change the departure to another trip (on the same tour) quickly. This is helpful if you have a trip cancellation and need to move customers to another trip easily. We are going to build a multi-booking changer this week as well
Other
* Dutch language is now live!
- Freesale product rule
Where is this rule setup ? In effect, is it adding a season during which bookings cannot take place (i.e. the booking end date cannot occur during this period)
- Today / Tomorrow
Is this today/tomorrow (i.e 1 or 2 days), or next 3 days ? They are different.
- Booking quantity alert
Can we delete this alert ? - so it is clear when someone has seen it and acted on it, and it doesn't then alarm future users going into the booking.
Also, I think it shouldn't show when you have put 2 tours in 1 booking, with the same number of customers on each
