For users of the TourCMS tour operator ecommerce platform

Hi All

Just looking at how to integrate Tourcms into our website. I don't wish to use the CMS to power the website, but would like to use the tour itineraries and options in certain parts of the site such as 'Africa' where we sell safaris etc.

My existing site uses "header and footer includes" with the body in between. Is it possible for me to this without affecting other pages such as the existing index etc?

Thanks in anticipation
David

Hi there David,
Thanks for your question. Yes you can.

1) You could use TourCMS to transfer text files to your hosting (containing the content loaded in TourCMS).... and write your own code to, when a user hist your web page, load the local text file etc

2) You could have a few pages that are managed by TourCMS (so that the full HTML layer is FTPed to your own web hosting). This would mean that TourCMS is managing a few of your pages.... but not the entire site

If neither of these are suitable - please let me have some further information - and I am sure we can help.

Incidentally, we have a new website design manual available in the support section. It doesn't answer the question above.... however it may be worth a read!

Best wishes. Alex
